Dom on This week’s Entertainment Weekly cover
Dom appears on this weeks Entertainment weekly cover, dedicated to Reunions issue, we will see a pic of Dom with Elijah and Sean (from Lord of the Rings).
EW traveled to London, Sydney, and Los Angeles to reunite the cast of The Lord of the Rings — Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Sean Astin, Bernard Hill, Sean Bean, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving, Miranda Otto, Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen –and director Peter Jackson, who recalls the disorienting feeling everyone had the last day of shooting: “There were a lot of tears,” he says. “It was just very weird and sad — the feeling that we were never going to come back and do it again.” Orlando Bloom reveals that Liv Tyler also convinced him to make a radical change to his look: “She goes, ‘Orly, you should have a mohawk. You’d look really cute.’… I was like, ‘I’ll have a mohawk, please!’”
You can see a video of the reunion Here

Dominic Monaghan Won’t Return for “The Hobbit”
Not really new information. – quite sad for The Lord of the Rings fans actually -
Back in 2009, Dominic Monaghan revealed that he, Elija Wood, Sean Astin and Billy Boyd will be returning for “The Hobbit” prequels, despite the fact that their characters do not appear in JRR Tolkien’s books. According to him, Peter Jackson wants to thank “Lord of the Rings” fans by bringing back some of the characters they know and love.
Many assumed that Monaghan will appear in the second prequel, which will bridge the two new films with the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. But now, the actor has revealed that he will not be involved with “The Hobbit.” At this point, he’s only hoping for a cameo.
“We’ve been saying that we’d love to come back as some sort of cameo, or turn up in the background,” he told SFX magazine. “And Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens have said that would be a great thing for us to do, but I think they’ve got slightly more important things to deal with before they talk about the four Hobbits doing a cameo.“

Dominic Hopes For Peter Jackson to Direct “The Hobbit”
Peter Jackson says that an announcement is coming “sometime soon” regarding “The Hobbit,” the “Lord of the Rings” prequel that has been delayed and beleaguered by the financial troubles of MGM. When Guillermo Del Toro removed himself from the project, most fans got it in their minds that Jackson would return to Middle-Earth in his rightful director’s throne. As of now, nothing has been confirmed, but there’s at least one “Lord of the Rings” star hoping that Jackson steps behind the lens on “The Hobbit” — Dominic Monaghan.
“I can’t really imagine anyone other than Pete directing ‘The Hobbit,’” Monaghan told MTV News, adding that the filmmaker’s extensive work in creating the world of Middle-Earth would make it virtually impossible for another director to step into Jackson’s shoes.
“You have to understand — the world of Middle Earth has already been created by Peter Jackson, by his special effects company, both physical and digital, these computer generated characters,” said Monaghan. “It would almost be impossible for a director to come in and bring his own thing because how would he color Middle Earth and how would he create Gollum without those codes? Pete has all of those codes that make Gollum a computer-generated character and makes the Cave Troll and makes all of these special effects.”
“It’s almost like asking someone to paint a picture but giving them no paint,” he continued. “Pete really has all of the paint. Unless he’s either producing or directing, not only will the film not correlate with the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, but I think the vast majority of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ fans will boycott the film because Pete had so much to do with that franchise.”
For his own part, Monaghan would be up for returning to Middle-Earth in “The Hobbit,” though he has some concerns about the possibility.
“I wouldn’t want to cheapen the strength of ‘The Hobbit,’ which is really the story of Bilbo and Gandalf and various other characters,” he said. “To kind of cookie-cutter in the characters that people grew to love in ‘Lord of the Rings,’ I think might not be incredibly fair to an audience who really loved that book. But I’m going to know Pete for the rest of my life, and I hope to work with him several times before he hangs up his ‘Hobbit’ feet.”

Dominic Provoked Megan Fox to Get Angry
Dominic Monaghan provoked Megan Fox while filming Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” music video – because he was determined for the beauty to “get angry” and “smack” him.
The couple portray Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Mathers during their tumultuous and violent relationship and the British actor reveals he was so dedicated to the shoot, he shaved his head to play the rapper and asked Fox to call him Slim – the hip-hop star’s nickname.
And he admits he was more focused on taunting his co-star than their steamy clinches.
Monaghan tells EOnline.com, “You try to make it as real as possible. I tried as hard as I can to find things that would press her buttons and use those to get her angry. I wanted her to be on me and smack the hell out of me, which she proceeded to do.
“I busted myself up punching the walls, punching the mirror and all that kind of stuff. You come home at night and you’re tired. You don’t go home at night feeling all stoked that you got to make out with some cute girl.
“It’s work. You have to understand that cameras are being pointed at you and they’re in your face and people are telling you to move this way or move that way. It’s not terrible work, but it is work.”
