They’re Lost all right… lost in each other’s arms. Evangeline Lilly and her fianc? Dominic Monaghan, were spotted in Hawaii yesterday, where the Channel 4 hit drama is filmed
They were spending their afternoon off surfing with a friend, but didn’t stay in the water for long. Leaving their friend to surf alone, they soon headed back to the sands to spend some time alone together and share some lingering kisses.
Former Lord Of The Rings hobbit Monaghan has been dating Lilly, 27, for nearly two years. The pair kept their relationship a secret for the first year, but made it public after getting engaged.
Canadian Lilly, who plays fugitive Kate in Lost, says she fell for the 29-year-old Mancunian because she can’t resist British men. She has said she loves the British for their “self-deprecating humour and sarcasm”.
The couple are busy filming the third series of the show, about a group of plane crash survivors stranded on a mysterious island.
Monaghan, who plays drug addict Charlie, has bought a home in Hawaii but often flies back to England to see Manchester United. He plans to settle down in New Zealand, where he spent several years filming the Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
He recently said: “Since I went to New Zealand I always thought, ‘This is where I’m going to bring up my kids’.”
British favourite Naveen Andrews got into the spirit of things by wearing a garland of flowers over his printed shirt when he turned out for the beach-front event. And the mind-bending drama’s hunky leading men, Matthew Fox, who is better known as Dr Jack, and Josh Holloway, who fans will recognise as Sawyer, likewise seemed to be enjoying the attention as they rolled up to the exclusive bash.
Canadian bombshell Evangeline Lilly had swapped her character’s jeans and tank tops for an elegant floor-length gown, while the statuesque Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who generally goes shirtless in the programme, was looking rather more dapper in head-to-toe white linen. Australian actress Emilie de Ravin was likewise on hand for the soiree, along with Lord Of The Rings star Dominic Monaghan, who plays her onscreen admirer Charlie.
Each of the actors was welcomed by a loud cheer from the throng of fans when they made their entrance at the celebration, which was staged at Waikiki on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, not far from where the series is filmed. “This doesn’t happen every day,” confessed Terry O’Quinn, who plays the shaven-headed Locke. “I’m not used to it. I’ve never been to a Hollywood premiere, but can’t imagine anything surpassing it.”

Josh Holloway, Matthew Fox and Dominic Monaghan have been banned from getting naked while filming hit show Lost in Hawaii – after producers expressed concern about their skinny-dipping.
The trio has made no secret of their love for stripping off in between shoots, but producers are forcing the stars to keep their clothes on in case a photographer catches them in the nude.
An insider says, “Producers are worried they are taking unnecessary risks in terms of their image.”
Evangeline Lilly has once again refused to clarify the status of her relationship with Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan, even though speculation that the two are dating has gone on for almost two years.
The pair were first spotted getting close at an awards ceremony in 2004, but since then have remained tight-lipped on whether they enjoy more than a friendly working relationship.
The actress told Contactmusic: “Dom and I have always connected. We have lots of fun playing together.
“It is still rumoured [that we're dating]… Dom is a spectacular person and I’d rather leave it at that,” she added.
London, July 9 – Actor Dominic Monaghan refuses to discuss his personal life in public because he fears once he does, there is no turning back.
According to contactmusic.com, Monaghan refused to confirm that he is dating his ‘Lost’ co-star Evangeline Lily in a TV interview. He added that he would never discuss his personal relationships.
He said: ‘So much of my life is for show. The choices that you have is what you keep private and what I keep private is, strangely enough, my private life.’ “I’ve said to the writers a bunch of times, ‘If you’re sitting in the writing room and you create a fantastic death scene for Charlie… then I’m all for it.”
DOMINIC MONAGHAN is teaching girlfriend Evangeline Lilly British slang, so she can understand what he is talking about. Canadian-born Lilly confesses the language barrier proved a problem, but she is slowly picking it up. She says, “I thought if a girl was fit, it meant she was in good shape. But it means she’s pretty. Dominic played me The Streets and it had ‘geezer’ in the song lyrics. I thought, ‘Why is this song about old men?’ because we call old men geezers. “And I’ve never in my life known that my great-grandmother Fanny’s name means vagina.”

The 29-year-old actor hates celebrities who deliberately court media attention, and insists Hilton is a leading perpetrator.
He says, “I’m not like Paris Hilton. I don’t play that game of ‘Please leave me alone’ and then go to the Ivy and cry my eyes out. I do say, ‘I’m not interested.’
I don’t have some sort of party scene or anything like that. It’s fine if people play that game, but for me that’s something I try to keep at arm’s length.”

‘Lost’ star DOMINIC MONAGHAN says in-fighting on the set of the TV show gets him down.
The actor – who plays Charlie Pace – says he finds it hard when other actors don’t pull their weight or get on each others nerves. He fumed to Newsweek magazine: “It’s tough being involved in a shoot with a large cast.
“Just the sheer politics can drag you down. So-and-so is not getting screen time. So-and-so is not showing up on time. So-and-so isn’t behaving well on set.
“That’s the toughest thing-coming home and going, ‘Well, I behaved OK, but three or four people didn’t’.”
Meanwhile, co-star Evangeline Lilly says the tensions are exactly the same as you would get between members of a family.
“We’re like brothers and sisters but there are days when you want to thank them for being in your life, and there are days when you want to punch them in the face.”
