Lost Star Dominic Monaghan Calls Online TV Viewing “Inevitable”
SAN DIEGO — Dominic Monaghan predicts that one day, nearly all media will be viewed online. And the Lost star is putting his talent where his mouth is.
His new film The Millionaire Tour will be released primarily through digital means via its production company, Vuguru.
“I watch most of my media now on the internet, so I wanted to support a company that primarily did that,” Monaghan says in the Wired.com video above. “I think the way that we view media is changing. It’s inevitable that companies are going to get more interested in how people have changed the way they watch things.”The Millionaire Tour, being produced by Michael Eisner–backed Vuguru, is about a guy who gets kidnapped at an airport and driven around Los Angeles while his captors max out his credit cards, Monaghan says. The film, Monaghan added, will be released online, “probably through their website.” The Millionaire Tour will then move to other platforms.
