Charlie Peace action figure
Written by Admin on May 25th, 2006

McFarlane Toys’ Lost Series 1 captures six fan-favorite characters from the series’ first season: Jack, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Charlie and Shannon. Each 6-inch Lost figure will have a detailed base and photographic backdrop, capturing an episode-specific moment in the character’s story. In addition, each package will include a detailed prop reproduction central to the character’s story, enabling fans to “own” a piece of the show’s mythology. For example, Kate’s figure will be packaged with a reproduction of the toy airplane that plays so prominently into her backstory. More than just action figures, McFarlane’s Lost figures will once again raise the bar for fans and for the industry.

We will also be releasing Lost deluxe boxed sets — re-creating key moments between multiple characters, and small-scale dioramas — replicating central locations such as the mysterious island and the infamous hatch.

Dominic Monaghan’s Lost rows
Written by Admin on May 24th, 2006

‘Lost’ star DOMINIC MONAGHAN says in-fighting on the set of the TV show gets him down.

The actor – who plays Charlie Pace – says he finds it hard when other actors don’t pull their weight or get on each others nerves. He fumed to Newsweek magazine: “It’s tough being involved in a shoot with a large cast.

“Just the sheer politics can drag you down. So-and-so is not getting screen time. So-and-so is not showing up on time. So-and-so isn’t behaving well on set.

“That’s the toughest thing-coming home and going, ‘Well, I behaved OK, but three or four people didn’t’.”

Meanwhile, co-star Evangeline Lilly says the tensions are exactly the same as you would get between members of a family.

“We’re like brothers and sisters but there are days when you want to thank them for being in your life, and there are days when you want to punch them in the face.”

Lilly stays loyal to Monaghan
Written by Admin on May 10th, 2006

LOST beauty EVANGELINE LILLY insists there is no chance of her being unfaithful to co-star and real-life boyfriend DOMINIC MONAGHAN, because her fame frightens potential admirers. The Canadian actress, who plays feisty KATE AUSTEN on the desert island show, loves the fact men are now too intimidated to approach her. And she warns that if a brazen suitor did approach, she’d have no qualms telling him to leave. Lilly says, “It’s wonderful. They think, ‘She’s Kate. She’s Evangeline Lilly. She’s just not going to date me’, and leave me alone. Whereas if you’re just a cute girl hanging out in a bar, every Tom, DICk and Harry is trying to chat you up. “I was always that girl in the bar who told everyone to get lost. Still am.”

Dominic Monaghan desperate to be dad
Written by Admin on May 6th, 2006

‘Lost’ star Dominic Monaghan has been desperate for a baby – since he was 11.

The actor loves the fact his character – drug addict Charlie – spends so much time looking after his friend’s baby because he loves being around the tot.

He revealed: “I’ve been broody since I was, like, 11!

“I love kids. I love being around wild animals or babies because it’s a pure interaction there. They’re all about the moment. So I love being around babies. It’s fun.”

Meanwhile, Dominic – who is romancing ‘Lost’ co-star Evangeline Lilly – also revealed he’s bracing himself to be killed off in the show.

He said in a British magazine interview: “Yeah, I think my character could die. It’s the nature of the show, isn’t it? But I think you have to try to be philosophical about the whole thing.

“I’ve said to the writers a bunch of times, ‘If you’re sitting in the writing room and you create a fantastic death scene for Charlie that reverberates through the whole cast and affects the whole season, then I’m all for it.

Are Lost Lovers Expecting?
Written by Admin on May 2nd, 2006

Could Lost couple Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lilly have some news for us?

If Dom’s talk of being broody is anything to go by, there may be a baby on the horizon.

The actor has said that he’s been desperate for a bub since he was 11 years old but didn’t mention whether Evangeline was in the family way or not.

And he’s pleased that his Lost character – drug addict Charlie – spends a lot of time taking care of his friend’s baby in the show.

He said: “I love kids. I love being around wild animals or babies because it’s a pure interaction there. They’re all about the moment… It’s fun.”

Dominic also had some speculative news for Lost fans.

He said: “I think my character could die. It’s the nature of the show, isn’t it?

“I’ve said to the writers a bunch of times, ‘If you’re sitting in the writing room and you create a fantastic death scene for Charlie… then I’m all for it.”

Written by Admin on April 25th, 2006

British actor DOMINIC MONAGHAN has fuelled speculation he hopes to become a father with LOST co-star EVANGELINE LILLY by confessing he’s “broody”. But the 29-year-old hopes his fictional storyline may soon be mirrored with a real life dependant. He says, “I’ve been broody since I was like, 11! I love kids. I love being around animals or babies because it’s a pure interaction there. “They’re all about the moment. So I love being around babies. It’s fun.”

Dominic Monaghan: Lost Hobbit
Written by Admin on April 3rd, 2006

Dominic Monaghan received international attention for his work in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, and he is following up that film success with a starring role on Lost, arguably the most talked about show on television. Monaghan portrays Charlie, a former rock star and drug addict who formed a close bond with fellow castaway Claire, only to have that relationship shattered when Claire discovered he returned to his drug abuse.

Monaghan says it will take more than a simple “I’m sorry” for Charlie to regain Claire’s trust. “He has to convince her he’s going to be clean and that he’s more motivated about taking care of her and the baby than he is about tripping out every so often,” he remarks. “I think she’s looking for someone a little more constant in her life. With that in mind, it will be a long process of rebuilding bridges.”

In a recent episode, Charlie resorted to a fake abduction of Claire’s baby to convince her to baptize the child. Although the baptism may have placed her baby on the path to spiritual salvation, it only drove Claire farther away from Charlie. “Charlie tried his best to save the child and get the child baptized,” Monaghan explains, “but he had to jump through the hoops that he did so that Claire would baptize the baby – in her own way. There was no way it was going to happen on its own. He had to back her into a corner to a certain extent. He was influential in making the baptism happen, but like most things in Charlie’s life, he goes about things the wrong way and then it all blows up in his face.”

Monaghan confused by hawaiian slang
Written by Admin on March 29th, 2006

Actor DOMINIC MONAGHAN loves living in Hawaii where he films hit TV show LOST, but admits he is still confused by the local language and customs.

The British actor was recently taken aback in a restaurant, when he feared he had horribly misunderstood the wait staff.

He explains, “There are a couple (of slang terms) that don’t work for me. One, specifically, that doesn’t work for me is they refer to appetizers in restaurants as ‘pu pu’.

“The combination of what you do in the toilet and what you do in a restaurant – it doesn’t go that well.

“When I was first there (in Hawaii), I sat down in a restaurant and they said, ‘Would you like a drink?’ and I said, ‘Yeah.’

“Then they said, ‘Would you like any pu pus?’ I was like ‘What type of restaurant have I walked into?’

“It’s a little bit surreal, but I love Hawaii, it’s great.”

‘Lost’ Stars Get Massive Salary Increase
Written by Admin on February 5th, 2006

The original cast members of award-winning hit TV show Lost have been offered a huge pay increase in exchange for extending their contracts by another year. Touchstone Television has promised the likes of Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly and DOMINIC MONAGHAN between $20,000 and $40,000 more per episode if they sign for a third series, pushing some salaries into the six figure bracket. Fox, who plays lead character Dr. Jack Sheppard, has reportedly earned a minimum $250,000 bonus on top of the salary hike. The raise puts Lost cast members in line with the stars of Desperate Housewives. Lost, which sees a group of plane crash survivors stranded on a tropical island, has one of the largest casts and production costs of any US drama series.
